AMV is the acronym for “Anime Music Video” and simply designates a video montage of extracts parts of one or more anime to one or more music, the duration of which is often between 2 and 5 minutes.

With that said, it’s not enough to put random bits of anime over the music!

The best AMVs are edited in rhythm with the music and respect the atmosphere of random bits of anime over the music. It is also possible to tell a story (original or not), to have heroes from different anime interact (the clip is then what we call a “crossover”), to ensure that the video revolves around of an idea, an object or in any case a concept, to add digital effects, etc…

You will have understood, some take this hobby sometimes very far and obtain results in a more professional way.
