Good morning, world!

We hope you enjoyed this year’s Maid Café! We wish to offer our biggest, most heartfelt thanks to all the maids and butlers who worked so hard to make the Maid Café the success it was, to Ice Qream who did double duty in order to give you amazing shows, to our team of volunteers both behind the counter and at the gaming stations who brought you food and entertainment, and of course to you, our dear customers, who filled the event with your energy. Thank you so much for your support and generosity!

If you were unable to yesterday, you can help the talented idols of Ice Qream by buying from their online shop! Not only that, their first original song which you got to hear live yesterday, Chiisana Shiawase, is releasing in just 5 days! Please help them shine even brighter and bring more attention to this aspect of japanese culture!

お疲れさまでした!

The Maid Café’s menu unveiled!

This year’s Maid Café being this Sunday, we thought we’d go ahead and post the menu for it a few days ahead of time. Grab your spoons, grab your forks, for soon you’ll be able to dig into our homemade dishes! In the mood for one of Brock’s infamous jelly donuts? Grab some of Fanamanga‘s delicious onigiris with one of their amazing Bubble Teas!

The food may have a price, but entry and smiles are free!

Only two days until Cosplay de l’Imaginaire 2019!

Pillar of the geek community in Quebec City, Boutique Imaginaire has since the days of yore been a must for all your magical and fantastical needs. Angels, demons, superheroes, isekai protagonists—this store has everything you may want to get your imagination flowing!

On this Saturday, a special event will be taking place, one during which the fabric between worlds will be dangerously thin. Whether you are willing to don the outfit and spirit of your favourite character becoming manifest in our world, or simply wish to attend what is undoubtedly going to be the most ambitious crossover in history, you are sure to have a great time!

Oh, and if you find a way to take your eyes off all the amazing cosplays, come see us at our table! We hear it, too, may have come from another world. Maybe. There is no real way to tell, is there?

Guests survey!

Have you always been curious about what happens backstage of your favourite anime shows? Have you recently fallen head first into a J-pop artist’s discography? Has a voice actor’s performance resonated with you so deeply you simply had to watch all the shows he was part of?

Now is the time to make your voice heard! We have put together a survey so that you can share with us the types of guests you look for in conventions. Your answers will directly influence the areas we will prioritize when it comes to inviting guests, so don’t miss out!

Do note that this survey does not affect in any way cosplay guests; those will always remain an essential part of our convention!

Calling all maids and butlers!

The Maid Café is coming very soon, and a Maid Café without maids doesn’t quite have the same ring to it. And that’s where you come in!

Have you always admired the century-old maid outfit, and all the history behind it? Do you enjoy dressing tidily, yet fashionably? Or maybe you’re simply looking for one more opportunity to wear your cosplays? Why not become a maid for one day?

Has the part about dressing both tidily and fashionably resonated particularly strongly? Are you more the quiet, serious type? Do you calculate every movement, each as precise and delicate as the next? How about applying to become a butler?

Send us an email at [email protected] now to offer your services! Do note that this is volunteer work, and that you must bring your own outfit. We also recommend bringing a change of comfortable shoes, especially for maids.

Thank you to all the generous souls who have already offered their services, and to all who will!

Otakuthon 2019 starts this Friday!

Are your cosplays ready? Have you been preserving your voice in preparation for the many shows? Are you and your wallet prepared for the countless wonders of the exhibition hall?

Speaking of which, if you’re somehow able to find some time between everything that going on, don’t hesitate to come to our table and say hi; we’ll be there all weekend with some new merch!

Nadeshicon 2020 unveiled at last!

We may not be a game publisher at E3, but we, too, have very important dates to unveil. That’s right, now is the time to officially announce when and where Nadeshicon 2020 will be happening!

Mark your calendars, Nadeshicon 2020 will be April 3-5, in the very same Quebec City Convention Centre where the last edition was held! Don’t have a calendar nearby? No problem, just head over to our Facebook Event!

Post-mortem and survey!

Attendees, volunteers, staff and everyone else are invited to participate at the post-mortem of Festival Nadeshicon 2018. It will take place May 5th at 1:00 P.M. You can come participate at room 3105 at the Maurice-Pollack Pavilion at Université Laval. This will allow us to create an even better edition for 2019.

Also, here is a link for a small survey that will allow us to take the pulse of whether you came to Festival Nadeshicon or not, and of your interests.
