Luduc will be at Nadeshicon!

You know him, you love him (and so do we!), the famous convention reporter with the unique wig will be at our festival to interview guests, get the feel of the convention, ask existential questions and, overall, add a little bit of craziness to the weekend!

What’s more, he will also host the panel Luduc Live, which will be held in the Cercle, located on the 4th floor, between 4 and 5:30 p.m. on Sunday! Don’t hesitate to participate! You may find the event page of the panel here!

“Koi Suru Fortune Cookies”, Montreal edition with Komachi Montreal!

Maybe you remember us mentionning a very special activity that Komachi Montreal will be holding at our convention?

Well, fret no more, here are the details! The japanese folkloric dance group is inviting you to dance with them for the recording of a Montreal edition of “Koi Suru Fortune Cookies”, by the famous group AKB48! Put on your most beautiful costume and get ready to move to the music with us! Komachi will be teaching the dance on site, then will be recording your performance!

Puissance Maximale will be at Nadeshicon and will be hosting their show live from the convention!

Volunteer media collective hosting a radio-show on CJMD 96.9 FM Lévis since 2007, Puissance Maximale is known for covering everything that partains to what we, fans of geek and japanese cultures, are interested in, be it card games, board games, LARPing, etc. Their weekly show is sure to get you hooked!

Christopher Macdonald, CEO and publisher of Anime News Network, will be at our festival!

Prominent figure of the anime industry in North America, France, and other parts of the world, Christopher doesn’t hide the fact that he is an anime fan. On the contrary, he loves to share his passion by bringing news to the world about everything happening in our beloved anime industry. However, despite his intimidating resume, he keeps his feet firmly on the ground and a smile on his face, and enjoys watching Shirobako and Tokyo Ghoul just as much as we do!

Ryunosuke Yamazumi will be performing at Nadeshicon!

Amazing japanese juggler, Ryunosuke has travelled the world around, participating in shows in Europe, Asia, Africa and here in America! His incredible talent has earned him many honors, including medals won during competitions! Ryunosuke, however, does not limit himself to one art form; he has also looked into dance and theatre, and is well known for his breathtaking acrobatics using a pole. You won’t believe what you’ll see!

L’Orchestre portable de jeux vidéo will be playing at Nadeshicon!

L’Orchestre portable, also known as OPJV, is already quite notorious. By covering themes and soundtracks from the games you played as a child as well as arranging music from recent games, the orchestra is an unique experience that is sure to bring out the kid in you while also pleasing your ears with its classical instruments. Conducted by Sébastien Wall-Lacelle, the ensemble is a must-see for any video games or instrumental music fan.

Etienne “Dez” Desilets-Trempe will be back for this year’s Nadeshicon!

Known for his weekly webcomic Frivolesque, Dez is a fan of quite a few aspects of geek culture, be it comics, cinema, retro games and mangas. As someone who has fully embraced his passion for creation, Dez encourages those who yearn for it to take the first take and go for it.

Arashi Daiko will be at Nadeshicon!

As some of you might have noticed on our official poster, Arashi Daiko will be amongst our main guests at this year’s edition of Nadeshicon!

Established in 1983, Montreal’s Arashi Daiko – Japanese for “Storm Drums” – is a notorious taiko group, taiko being a type of drum deeply rooted within japanese culture and history!
